The Budget Haul: Boots and TK Maxx

I was attempting a spending ban but that was just not happening on any level. So instead i've put myself on a beauty budget and it is tough, there are so many things I want. But I am remaining strong so decided to hit TK Maxx, my favourite shop for budget beauty and Boots.

In Boots I picked up Boots Expert Build Up Removal shampoo. I've been trying to get my hands on this for a while and finally found it tucked away in the shampoo aisle. The packaging looks so naff and it just screams 'I'm only £3.49' but hey it's substance over style right? I normally only wash my hair twice a week because it's so thick, but i've noticed it getting more greasy recently so thought i'd give this a go to try and get all my hair oil out of my locks. I'll let you know how I get on!

I also picked up Super Ficialist By Una Brennan Deep Clean Pore Purifying Clay Mask (mouthful or what). This is a product that I constantly see around the beauty blogsphere and recently read a post when it was compared to Glam Glow which I've wanted for yonks. As it was on offer for £5.99, it would be rude not to pick it up…

I then toddled over to TK Maxx, as i've mentioned before one of my absolute favourite shops. I've also just found out you can buy some of their selection beauty products online, say whatttttt, check out their online selection here.  I picked up Rodial Brazilian Tan Clear. I've used Rodial before and I think it's such a good brand of fake tan. I picked this tan up for a tiny £4.99 when it retails at £39, bargain!

Finally I picked up two Too Faced products, the Amazing Face Oil Free Foundation for £6.99 (retails at £24) and the Full Bloom Cheek and Lip creme colour in Tea Rose for £4.99 (retails for £19). I've never tried and used any Too Faced products but for these prices I could hardly leave them, obviously. The packaging is so cute and I can't wait to give them a try. Look out for a post.

  2. I'm from the States and I always get so confused as to what the heck TK Maxx is until I realize that it is the same exact store, but we call it TJ Maxx. I'm not curious to see if our stores sell Too Faced products, or other brands similar. I always forget about the store (as it is tucked away in a small section of a shopping center) but this makes me want to go browse the aisles!
